Fashion designer Y.G. Peermont short for Yabarak Garrie Peermont, was born on October 13, 1965, in Sydney, Australia to parents Anderson Peermont, a painter, and Victoria Peermont, an electronic engineer. Peermont the oldest of 4 children was 13 when his mother left. He and his siblings were mostly raised by there father. He later attended the university of Technology in Sydney, Australia. His first gig was a design project for a petroleum engineering company where his mother had worked. He would eventually be promoted to lead engineer. Later that year, as he became more familiar with the metal working and design process, and with his passion for modern design, his hobby of casting, and welding, took on new levels and opened a new chapter in what would be a successful career. Peermont's started creating jewelry, his jewelry would later become a highly anticipated product at the Australian Jewelry Fair, and within 6 months of successfully building a brand in the fashion universe, on February 28th 1997 Y.G Peermont won the Australian Innovation Award. Manufacturing companies reached out from countries throughout South Asia offering partnership opportunities. In 1998 Peermont decided to take his hard work and team up with Brazilian native, Jose dela Guadalupe. Peermont was a fashion fanatic from an early age, cutting, coiling, and molding up scraps of Metal. "I was not a young fashion victim," Peermont said of his early experiences. "I really had an idea of what I loved and how I wanted it to look." Peermont Brand of delicate jewelry is a combination of hard work, passion, and years of improvisation. Y.G. Peermont resides in Boston MA, he makes routine visits back to his hometown in Australia. Y.G's childhood friends were also highly creative, and included neighbors such as actress Nicole Kidman.
